Dear ccNSO UAC members,
It was nice to meet and see you all yesterday.
As the candidate for the vice-chair I wanted to introduce myself and my previous professional experience and how it matches with the future work of this group.
My name is Regina Filipová Fuchsová and I joined EURid, the .eu, .ею and .ευ registry, in 2007 as the Regional Manager Central Europe based in Prague, the Czech Republic. My responsibilities included business development and registrar relations
areas. Last year, I took over the role of the Industry Relations Manager being mainly responsible for EURid´s outreach activities and relationship with various stakeholders. I have been representing EURid in different fora and working groups including the
Administrative working group of CENTR. My academic background includes a PhD in International Economic Relations or a master degree in Law.
I believe I can facilitate the work of this UAC as the vice-chair both because of my previous long-term experience in multicultural teams, the DNS environment and also because of the proximity and importance of the topic for my organisation.
Multilingualism online, inclusive Internet, UA and IDNs are important topic for EURid. We introduced IDNs under .eu back in 2009 and .eu TLD in Cyrillic and Greek followed. Even though they represent a small share of our entire portfolio, we are trying to
raise awareness among our registrars and we have been trying different promotional incentives. EURid also runs the website idnworldreport.eu with information on IDNs and UA and we were actively involved in the very first UA Day earlier this year.
Happy to answer your questions.
Best wishes,
Regina
