I think that perhaps the importance of completing the survey about tools other than Adobe Connect might be lost as it is embedded in this email.

I hope that everyone is completing the survey, however, I do question why staff would not have also included Adobe Connect as one of the options.  It seems a little unfair to ask: do you prefer alternative a or alternative b, when we were not given the original service to also rate.

I am going to share my personal views: 

I use WEBEX heavily in IGF land, and with the national and regional IGFS, where the IGF Secretariat provides "seats" for the NRIs to use both in planning and in conducting the NRIs.  This works very well, as there is a deep relationship with CISCO, the provider.

I use Zoom upon occasion and in the IGF-USA and while I find it acceptable, I do not find it as intuitive to the user as both Adobe Connect and WEBEX. and it has other limitations regarding costs for additional voice only services. 

As ICANN also has an extensive relationship with an audio provider and a transcription provider, with significant investment of support to trouble shoot all calls, to address issues that for instance, dial out users experience,  and then provide the transcripts that help all of so much, I am merely sharing my own view.

I look forward to ICANN org's resolution with Adobe Connect. 

We should not overlook the cost of changing vendors; asking hundreds of remote users to learn about a new platform, etc.
