For your review - CCWG Survey to identify knowledge & expertise
Dear All, In follow up to action item 2, please find for your review a first draft of a survey that would allow CCWG members and participants to identify their knowledge and expertise of relevance to the CCWG deliberations at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Preview/?sm=iJD_2BOGV1jKaYKNKp0YPYtb3Y_2B4CFb.... At this stage you are requested to review the areas of expertise identified and suggested any additions and / or modifications. Following your input, we will launch the survey so that everyone has an opportunity to fill out the survey and share their respective knowledge and expertise. Thanks Marika. I don't have anything significant to add to the proposed survey. It is a good starting point. Just 2 cents. - On Financial and Legal, it might be better to separate on different lines " Fund / trust / grant management" as the expertise to manage one might defer to manage the other one. - It might be worth to add a separate category, it might be good to know also if the expertise is for local, national, regional or global programs, as the legal framework will differ as well as many financial management practices to deal with international transfers, partnerships restrictions, rates, etc. Warm regards, Sylvia -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Sylvia Cadena | APNIC Foundation | Head of Programs | sylvia@apnic.net<mailto:sylvia@apnic.net> http://www.apnic.foundation<http://www.apnic.foundation/> ISIF Asia | http://www.isif.asia<http://www.isif.asia/> FB ISIF.asia | G+ ISIFAsia | @ISIF_Asia 6 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane, QLD, 4101 Australia | PO Box 3646 Tel: +61 7 3858 3100 | Fax: +61 7 3858 3199 * Love trees. Dear All,
I filled it, but it's difficult to self-assess my expertise in some cases, not having examples to base it on. For instance, I put myself as Advanced and not Expert on the ICANN knowledge side, even though I've been following it since before its creation, have been on the board, organized ICANN plenary in France, was involved in various projects, etc. I'd consider as Expert folks that actually run ICANN today, i.e. active on the board, in staff or constituency leadership positions, people having participated actively in the recent transition or the accountability. Not my case. Maybe we should give percentiles as clue ? e.g. if you think you're in the top 50 of the existing ICANN most knowledgeable persons, then you're an Expert ?

Thanks Marika for the efforts in putting the survey. My expertise on the financial matters stems from the side of grant applicant or grant receiver end. Based on that, I suggest adding "endowment" to the "Fund / Trust creation" in the Financial section.
