The report says,the ccTLD shall be removed from the Root Zone 5 years (“Default Retirement Date”) from the date of this notice. Five years are enough time for registrants and registrars to prepare for the situation. I assume, that in many cases the retired cc TLD is replace by a new cc TLD. We propose, that the grandfathering rule is applied and the owners of a name at the old cc TLD have the right to register their names prior to others.
