I’m opposed to the lifting of price caps for .com TLDs. I believe that the internet is an open marketplace that should be as affordable as possible for everyone to use. By raising prices on domain registrations and making it difficult for smaller business and individuals to afford to maintain an online presence, you would effectively be hurting the global market, as well as many small business owners’ bottom line. Hello, I think that you should first consult with the companies to whom you are selling domains at a wholesale price before making any changes. It seems unwise not to do that. I believe that there should be more clarity on how the money which is being provided by Verisign is to be spent by ICANN. Thank you, Alexander

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Best Regards Ruslan Yanyshyn

Not one entity controls the internet, and ICANN and Verisign should not be the only two who should be allowed to make decisions that have the potential to affect many internet users and increase cost of owning a website domain name.

The .com domain is crucial for small business and young companies starting out and we should promote the lowest possible bar possible in order to encourage more commerce and ideas to percolate onto the net. This raising of prices will affect the ones who are least able to afford it. Please consider freezing fees for the next decade.
