I think it is unbelievable that you make changes of this size and impact on the domain market worldwide, completely disregarding that this directly impacts people who have small businesses and also who eventually need these domains to survive. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. Please remember that the availability of the internet, and people to use the internet has become a necessity in today’s world. The ability for common (not wealthy) people to utilize the web, and have websites is of the utmost importance. I greatly appreciate the ability to have my own websites and to have the ability to affordably make my contribution to the world. In order to keep that a reality for myself and millions of others, the cost needs to be kept low to be accessible. I am voicing my concern regarding this amendment as an owner of multiple .com domains. It is a dangerous one that was done without input outside of ICANN and Verisign that would allow for unfettered price hikes for .com domains and no oversight over the funds provided to ICANN. .com domains could potentially become out of reach for many, including myself. Please reconsider this amendment and the potential impact it would have on Internet as a whole. --- John Bradley

If you guys think that this back door dealing you areproposing has no way to fail, you had better hope that Trump wins anotherelection and a more progressive candidate doesn’t sit in that seat. You want toincrease the costs of domain names for what? What is your budget and what youwant to do with the free 20 mil from Verisign? You are going to cause a lot ofplaces to just shut down as many people are not going to pay outrageousincreases when you have shown 0 data as to why you need to. Keep kissing the ass of Verisign, who all but bought you tothis position. You are acting like a politician here and that was not acomplement. Kevin

I have several domains that you are going to price out of any viability. Accepting 20 million from Verisign and allowing them to raise fees 8 of the next 10 at an increase of 70% over the next decade is criminal and gouging the customer. Please reconsider.
