Please don’t allow Verisign to raise prices on .com’s. Keeping these prices low allow the lower and middle class to actually have a chance at making a sustainable internet business. ICANN you made changes in secret, without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or Internet users. Although ICANN you has a history of making similar deals behind closed doors, and also of ignoring unified opposition against such action *.COM domains will make up 40% of all registered domain names online*. These changes will have significant impact on the Internet for years to come, and only ICANN and Verisign have participated in this decision. We are against your action..you should know

I don't pretend to know all of what goes on or how much everything costs, but the news that pricing for .com domains could potentially change out of the blue is alarming. My understanding is that this agreement was agreed to without any knowledge of the people who sell domain names to the users or the users themselves. I think .COM names should not be treated like a commodity in general commerce and more like a public good. So prices should be dealt with accordingly and all relevant parties should be involved in changes to the agreement.
