I started my first business 19 years ago when I was 16 years old. One of the reasons I was able to start a web hosting company at that time and maintain it was due to the fact that the .COM TLD have maintained a very affordable rate. If this changes and rates increase with regularity I fear that it could become a barrier of entry for some people. Everyone should have access to the tools they need to succeed. Please ICANN protect the interest of the people and not the interest of corporations. Thank you, Cory Cone

Hello, I am writing to voice my opinion in opposition to Proposed Amendment 3. For me its simple. Right now, more than every before small business owners have a low barrier of entry into the digital world. I work with successful people who have taken chances with online businesses ideas because of this low barrier. I understand that for most established businesses price hikes such as this likely won't mean much but it will impact the millions of small, independent businesses and developers that rely on .com domains and those who will loose motivation to start business due to high startup/renewal fees will be a true loss to use all.

Amendment 3 is a blatant abuse of position and its deplorable. Conducting closed door deals that impact millions of unsuspecting people simply for monetary gain is exactly the type of unscrupulous actions of a greedy tyrant. The people receive no significant benefit from this "amendment". I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest, not for the benefit of one company's shareholders. Please lower the cost of .com domains in the interest of the public. Version has monopolized the management of .com domain names. This is not right. ICANN should do a U-turn and set this right! These changes will have significant impact on the Internet for years to come, and only ICANN and Verisign have participated in this decision. Given the significant, cascading, impacts I want to have my voice heard in this decision. This amendment will create a significant barrier of entry to people building an online presence. This is terrible and isn't the will of the people that have helped your company grow. Doing this in secret as well is a surefire way to lose my support for any decisions from here on out, and I hope other people follow.
