Hello, I just bought my own .com domain name last year. I was a student without much money. If .com prices were higher I think it will seriously discourage many young and less financially secure people from being able to access unique .com domains. Please do what you can to keep .coms accessible for small businesses and individuals. Thank you for your time, Andrew

It is a conflict of interest to allow VeriSign to be a domain register and be the administrator of the .com registry. Inflicting price increases for not real reason or then to pad VeriSign bottom line is unacceptable. I'm disturbed to hear of the potential future price increases to wholesale registrar's regarding .com domain names. I would encourage more transparency in negotiations with corporations, clear rules regarding price increases, and further controls around how corporate money will be leverage.

Please do not allow the price charged for .com domains to go up by as much as 70% over the next ten years. This represents a flax tax on people creating websites. The cost of a domain represents a much larger expense to small owners than it does to big owners. If the price of .com domains is allowed to rise, it will be insignificant for large companies and very expensive for small companies. To raise revenue, please identify ways to do so which are progressive in the sense that they wouldn't hurt small owners more than large owners. Thank you.

I pay for my .com domain out of my own pocket. If I see such high increases, I could be forced to shut down my website. Don't do this to small website owners. Jared Crivello

I'm a french sysadmin that enjoy hosting services for me, my family and my friends around the world (french, german, russian, etc). I'm currently a registrant of a .com domain name, I use the .com TLD because it's for general use and it's not limited to a country. I'm against the price increase of the .COM domains, letting Verisign increase the price every year for 8 out of the next 10 years means that ultimately .COM domains will become less accessible and more expensive for everybody. This will inevitably kill the .COM TLD making it useless, and you know that you can do better for the public interest. -- Jason France

So what you are doing is letting Verisign bribe you with 20 million dollars to enable them to start bilking many more millions if not billions from their customers. Great trade off for you. Not so great for the rest of us.
