I am saddened by the news that you are going to be jacking up prices for .com domains and by the sounds of it to the point that people like me will inevitably need to give up our websites and personal domains because of it. I get it that elitist pricks want to deprive everyone else of pleasures large and small and limit any worldly benefits to only a small percentage of people who can "afford it" but shame on you for ruining the internet. I think that if I can not participate in the internet by having my own domain then I will just boycott the entire internet all together. If I can no longer display my photography portfolio online then I no longer wish to shop online or read internet news articles either. I am not willing to pursue additional income streams just for the privilege of paying you a fortune to have a web domain. You think this will benefit you but it will harm you. Online business is ever growing. For me growing my online business is crucial but as a bootstrapper i always look for cheaper price and so are the other thousands of entrepreneurs. Startup industry is growing exponentially and most of them are failing according to statistics. Please don't make it harder for us. I've already began choosing other TLDs to keep up with the expenses. .com will be outdated soon if nobody can afford it. Regards Soum

Dear ICANN, The deal between you and Verisign should not be fulfilled. Raising the prices of .COM domains will reduce the amount of domains used through you and Verisign. The cheap price for a .COM helps website developers and retailers pursue their online endeavors without risk of spending too much money. People who start a business try to find the most cost effective way to start their journey. In today’s day and age that starts with a website for your business. Raising a .COM will ruin the benefits for business owners. .COM offer’s trustworthiness to consumers of the domains. Please DO NOT raise the prices and if you must raise the price.
