[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Kate Buckley Feb. 10, 2020

Feb. 10, 2020
To Whom it May Concern: I am both a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business) and an aftermarket specialist (I broker high value names for my clients). I am firmly against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices, and the current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. I trust you’ll do the right thing. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am firmly against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The Internet is designed for people, not profit. Profiting from registrations goes against the principles of a people-centered internet. Felix Velarde London, United Kingdom

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Please Reject the Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Rob Donnelly Feb. 10, 2020

Feb. 10, 2020
Hello, I care about reducing the barriers to the open web. As a registrant of several small scale .com domains, I am opposed to the proposed price increase to .COM domains. I do not think the increase is in the public interest, which is what ICANN is supposed to govern on behalf of. Rob Donnelly

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am a small business owner. My domain portfolio consist of over 3000 registered Tld's domains. Your proposed registration fee increase shall force me, against my wishes, to self liquidate my portfolio holdings if I am to remain in business. I can not afford shouldering what shall amount to a huge monetary increase and financial burden. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest for the greater good. Don't allow nor permit yourselves to all of sudden to be blinded by monet and allow yourselves to become greedy. Please look elsewhere to generate your additional income producing assets or profits. Try more public advertising educating and informing the public to generate greater awareness as to the value of domain ownership. Similarly and just like real estate, there is finite inventory for.coms. Priority Path Steve Greenspan Greenlawn NY 11740

As a small business owner I am VERY opposed to the increases proposed to Dot Com domain name registration and renewal. ICANN is upposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest ... not for the interest of Registrars. Adding costs to domain owners is not called for, and will be detrimental to many small online publishers. We hope that you consider the affect any increases will have on our industry and on the public. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Mary Ann Lawford Boise, Idaho United States
