[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Ryan Sturmer Feb. 10, 2020

Feb. 10, 2020
Good day, I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Ryan Sturmer 14 Murray St, Suite 237 New York, NY 10007 United States

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Timothy Allen Feb. 10, 2020

Feb. 10, 2020
Good day I use the Internet but I am not a .com registrant. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Hiking prices for domain names makes them unaffordable for poor or third world registrants, increasing the divide between haves and have-nots. DNS is a system that relies on everyone using a single, authoritative source. Increasing prices could act to split the internet based on location or income level. [Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Nate Levesque Feb. 10, 2020

Feb. 10, 2020
I am a registrant of several .com domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. If the cost of managing .COM names were increasing, I would have no problem with a gradual price increase, or finding a company other than Verisign to manage the registry if they could do it cheaper. However, based on the costs we know, and the costs of the new gTLDs, that does not appear to be the case. I'm highly disappointed that ICANN is relinquishing control of its responsibilities. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains because it is unnecessary and punitive for an essential service. Nigel Powell Acton, England United Kingdom
