[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry %2 it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. kevin bent Chicago, Illinois United States Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

CURRENT PRICE FOR DOT COM IS SUFFICIENT, CONSIDERING THAT THERE NOW THOUSANDS OF OTHER TLD AVAILABLE. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ALVARO GUTIERREZ AVENTURA Sent from Mail<https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=550986> for Windows 10

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] What's the need for price increase?
by Mayank Bhardwaj Feb. 9, 2020

Feb. 9, 2020
Considering that internet/domain names have become a necessity at this point, what's the reasoning behind the proposed price increase? I am against this steady/blind price increase. A one off increase because the costs go up is probably OK. Not everything needs to be under a profit-as-much-as-you-can approach.
