Please don't allow increases in .com domain prices. -nevin west I pay for 35 .com domains all at $10/year. I wouldn't be able to afford even a 5% per year increase in that cost.

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am strongly against the proposed price increase to .COM domains and I feel that the current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price and I believe that ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. Other than a pure money grab, there's no reason to increase fees. The technology has not changed nor has the cost of providing the service when you consider the number of .com sites. This needs to be voted down. Michael Griffith intendlove.com

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Given that Verisign does not provide any new service. It's a free milk cow for Verisign. Verisign built the software off registration fee so technically ICANN owns the Verisign software to manage domains. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
