I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Have mercy on us ICANN. How can I handreg more .com domain name if Verisign increase the price of .com domain. I strongly oppose the decision of price increase of .COM domain registration. It'll adversely affect all small businesses and individuals holding .COM domains.

I am a .com registrant and am associated with the secondary market. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign wants increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry - it has no business dictating the price - and already makes profits at current price levels in excess of the operating needs to maintain a registry. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. The public has a vested interest in reasonably priced domain registrations to foster innovation on the internet and allow the individuals to maintain a presence on the web. Patricia Hendarno Germany

To Whom It May Concern: I am a registrant of over 1000+ .com domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. This would have a negative effect on my business and STRONGLY oppose this move. No one other than Verisign wants increases in .COM prices. Other GTLDS have been able to lower costs. To Whom It May Concern, I own several domains. Many of my domains are used for free sites whereas I do not profit at all. Please reconsider the exorbitant price increases. If you feel you must increase, only increase on future domains OR even better, future users so that current buyers can remain at a forever rate. However, increasing domain prices at the current rate will make it terribly expensive for future generations. It is best to keep domain pricing low. Nearly every person on the planet will want at least one domain so surely you can easily keep the buying rate even lower than what it is today, which makes the inflation an act of greed. Thank you.
