I being a .Com domain name owner do agree that the the change in policy which will lead to an increase in cost of .com TLD is not in the best interest of .Com community and as such should be discontinued.

The language of the agreement doesn't currently detail how the $20 million promised by Verisign will be allocated by ICANN or justify why that amount was agreed. Greater transparency is needed because otherwise this has the appearance of a shady backroom deal.

I will not claim to understand why the .com price increase is considered necessary. But I do know that a 7% annual increase is extreme. Most businesses consider anything exceeding a 3% increase per year for any service to be excessive. This will not be sustainable for many individuals and businesses. Further, this is not moral or equitable considering that the internet should be accessible to all, including the right to post content and create websites. Sent from Mail for Windows 10
