The openness of the web depends on people making decisions that benefit all. Acting in an open and transparent manner is critical. I do not support the proposed deal with Verisign. I do not support the proposed plan to increase .com domain registrations. I do not support the manner in which this decision was made. I do not support ICANN profiting from the administration of domain name address like .com without a transparent and clear agreement on the specifics of how that money will go to support fair and equitable access to internet domains.

Hi, I'm just writing to say that I think agreements like these shouldn't be reached in secret without some form of consultation. We, as the people who make use of internet domains, are entirely at the mercy of your own interests when that happens - for better or for worse. Whatever the impact now, it seems like a dangerous precedent for the future. I would appreciate greater openness with the community of users. Kind regards, Chris

Dear sirs, I am strongly opposed to this amendment 3 because it will raise the cost of domain renewals for the .com. I have many websites with .com extensions and any increases will impact my bottom line and lower my profits. Therefore I would ask that you consider to not approve this. I find it very disappointing that the proposed changes are very intransparent and not clearly formulated. How will a pricing change for .com improve the internet? I have just been informed about your proposal to allow increases in the price of the TLD .COM This is going to have a huge impact on the SME market who are already extremely price sensitive. It will put an unnecessary cost burden on may smaller business and I can’t believe that you thought it a good idea to implement these price hikes without the proper consultation. When a governing body don’t go through due process it makes me wonder if they really have their customers in mind or are just about the money. Sounds to me like ICANN are just about the money and not about customer service or satisfaction. I would love to see some clear justification why you are allowing ridiculous (up to 70%) price increases over the coming years without proper consultation with the Domain Registrars or the wider audience. . To whom it concerns, As someone who is new to having an internet presence through my own website, I find it appalling that you’re considering rules that would allow an up to 70% price increase for registering .com domains over the coming years. This would block people like me from being able to create personal websites. Therefore, I oppose the proposed moves being considered. This goes against helping the consumer on the individual user-end just to line the pockets of shareholders. I hope you do the right thing. C.C.
