I am vehemently opposed to this deal giving Verisign the right to increase pricing in this way. I urge you to solicit feedback from all of the affected users instead of quietly making deals with limited public oversight and input. Price increases may be inevitable, but this is not the right way to do it for consumers large or small.

I strongly oppose this amendment since it will induce an undue and unfair burden on the public. The ability to afford a domain affects how people can participate online, and the price increases that will result from this amendment will make this form of communication and participation unavailable to people of limited economic means. And for what purpose? Please reconsider this amendment for the sake of the public

Pushing this amendment is wrong on so many levels. This is blatant collusion between ICANN and Verisign. It simply benefits ICANN and Verisign at the financial detriment of everyone else using .com names. The legality of this will be challenged. Losing a class action suit is very expensive especially with retroactive punitive damages. Don Kurta

I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains.No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices.The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified.Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price.ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.Miranda Solar Seattle, Washington state United States
