Hello, I just wanted to voice my displeasure in the news of the new contract details with Verisign. Limiting choice, and increasing prices, is opposite of what everything the world wide web stands for. The internet opened the world to information giving people and businesses more freedom, power and possibility. As a small business owner, increased prices will only serve to hurt. We need more registrars, not fewer. Not one that can control 80% of prices to compete with others. I hope others that share my concerns will also be heard. A.

There is nothing about this agreement that appears to be done in the interest of the consumer, and it looks like this is entirely motivated by greed. Verisign gets more money and pays ICANN $20 Million in exchange, yet there are no clear outlines for how this $20 Million would be spent. It's pretty clear that Verisign also does not have the consumer in mind, as allowing them to operate as a registrar themselves is a conflict of interest. Domain prices affect everyone else's bottom line. Please do not move forward with this contract as it is currently written. This is a selfish and greedy move. Thank you, Ellison Yasukochi

Your price increases are ridiculous. When you and Verisign have a monopoly it is easy to raise prices. As business owners we have to live within our means. You should do the same Jim Nostedt

Dear ICANN, I, a humble user of the internet and domain name owner, object to Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement. ICANN is a non-profit organisation which has been given a duty to act on the best interest of the internet and it’s users. This amendment poses a serious risk to the internet, allowing ludicrous price increases of .com domains – 40% of all domain names. This is not worth $20 million. This will cost dearly, and the most unjustly effected party will be the individuals and small businesses who cannot afford to pay more and more for their portfolios, shops and services. Hello, Please do not raise the prices for .COM domain names. Domain's are already becoming rare and expensive. This increased price will make only larger companies afford to do business online. Alternatively, people will simply stop using .COM domain names and create a new leader TLD which will create great confusion for the older person using the internet. Sincerely, Jason Grim

Hello there, I wanted to raise my concern over a rumour about price increasing of .com domain. This is not fair at all, in my opinion all TLD domains should be equaly treated in price terms.
