I am associated with the secondary market in domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. By raising prices, the barrier to entry also rises which can crush the "American dream" of many people. Raising barriers to entry can stifle innovation. Many entrepreneurs start young when they don't have access to extra money. A domain name provider service is not changing so why should the price go up?

Dear ICANN Registry I am the registrant of the .com domain name and the owner of other domain names. I object to the proposal to raise the price of .COM domain names. Apart from Verisign, no one wants to increase .COM prices. On the contrary, there will be many institutions, organizations, technicians, individuals, etc. who want to reduce prices. As we all know, the current exchange rate of 7.85 US dollars has far exceeded a reasonable price. We pay for services, but the price is not so reasonable.
