Increasing the domain prices is absurd, It's already expensive enough for 3rd world countries to afford a domain and pay ~12$-15$ each year for renewals. Increasing the domain prices will affect small business and new independent bloggers/developers who wish to step into the world of blogging/devlopment. Moreover it will affect small businesses to take their business online because it will be expensive more than ever. Please understand that there are a lot of areas in this world which already can't afford to pay for domains every year, by increasing the prices you are killing their dreams. Please stop this price increase.

People who own domains for personal reasons and not for intent to create a income will not be able to afford or warrant these price increases. I own a domain so I can have a custom image uploader and have a small portfolio of gaming achievements. If prices increase trying to pay for a domain and a basic shared hosting will become harder. Good morning, I would like to submit this comment to advise icann that the most impactful towards small business and self employed clients who their budget is smaller than a bigger company this will impact the online community and will force us to use alternative domains it is very greedy what's being done here as the number of domains is endless. I've recently learned about the proposed amendment 3 and I'm outraged at the lack of transparency and honesty surrounding this deal. This decision will affect millions of people, and yet there seems to be no discourse among those people. This makes you appear to be acting in bad faith. What will you do to counter those optics? Or...do you not care because you'll be stuffed to the gills with cash from Verisign? Please do better, ICANN.

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price.
