Hi, Why are you allowing Verisign to increase the prices of .COM domain names? What is the ICANN going to do with the additional funding from Verisign? Why are you able to make these changes without consent from the Internet community? Please revert the changes made (behind closed doors) to ICANN's agreement with Verisign. Nobody on the Internet wants these prices to increase. Just stop it. Please. - Nicholas

I believe everyone should be financially prosperous. From big corporations to small business owners. And a big medium for income is the internet. More importantly businesses using the “.com” TLD. It’s the most widely used TLD and has been a staple for businesses and individuals for years. Invoking a deal which causes a price hike over the next 8-10 years would ultimately smother the flame of individuals who are looking to grow their businesses or online presence through common internet platforms. Please consider what would be affected in the long-term when making a decision on the new proposed deal. Thank you for your time.

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business) or am associated with the secondary market. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry - it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. I totally oppose to the raising of .com prices. It makes absolutely no sense. If anything, technology costs are decreasing. Thank you and Regards Sandeep Goyal

To Whom This May Concerns, This should NOT be allowed to pass and is outrageous. Verisign agreed to pay ICANN an additional $20 million dollars over five years to support ICANN's domain name system initiatives, without any clarity about how ICANN will spend the money, or who will ensure that the funds are properly spent on domain infrastructure. This is not acceptable AT ALL and needs a full and THOROUGH outlay of all details of costs and plans to upgrade domain infrastructure. Once again large companies using power! I don't believe the price rises proposed for .com are appropriate. As the largest TLD the increases will have a disproportionate effect on small businesses especially in places in the developing world. price rises of 7% per annum are far above inflation in most countries.

Dear ICann, I’m totally understand that you want to increase your price policy. We all face increase prices in our daily life and especially in the business environment. Please have in mind for you price plan, that you tase care of all product user you already have. How easy it will be for them to change from your service to an other one if you increase your prices to much. I would like to recommend you to make a list with all benefits and disadvantages your facing if you increase prices in your planed way. And I’m absolutely sure you will find a way that will help your circumstances and also treat your customer in a good way to continue with the longterm relationship to all your parties.
