I‘m operating a a dozen .com domains for myself and clients.
I consider annual subscriptions of USD 5.- to 15.- as reasonable. Where .com, .org., .net, .biz should linger at 8.- to 12.- a year.
I am opposed to the increase in price of particular domains. If ICANN needs more founding, burden should be distributed over all domains - if?
In order to have a url, common sense
dictates that you purchase the same url in all the categories - .com,
.org,.net and ones with similar spelling. So it is easy for one website -
commercial, charitable, educational - to have to have pay for 5 urls a
year. Quite a Budget for SMB, SoHo or NonGov.
