While it is vital for new developments and ongoing projects at ICANN to have the necessary monetary resources, changes to the .com agreements have an impact over an extremely large user base in all nations with all different levels of income.

It is necessary that this discussion and agreement is paused so that representatives from all parties involved are heard. Large price increases in .com domains would impact millions of small and medium companies an thus these changes need to be done as part of a large public discussion.
