I believe the internet should be an open place where people can easily access and share information. By increasing the price of .COM, the most popular TLD, you're stopping a bunch of people in developing countries from accessing these domains. You're also stopping students and others from easily being able to afford to run a website, just from greed.
If you're interested in money, consider offering a service of some kind rather than jacking up the prices of the .COM TLD. Help be the important figure that keeps the internet accessible to all.
