I hear that ICANN and Verisign have made changes in .com pricing in secret, without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or Internet users.

Please, don't do this. Our site is a non-profit and any price increases threaten our activities. Beside, full transparency is crucial to the spirit of the Internet don't you think?
