To Whom It May Concern,

I urge ICANN to rescind its bid to increase rates on .com domains.  Users like myself, a professor at a public university, depend on .com domain sites in order to disseminate our work to audiences.  A true democracy depends on an informed electorate, and the results from research funded by American taxpayers are of value to the public good.  Public universities struggling to meet the demands of a growing population cannot foot the bill for this effort alone.  Corporations in positions of preserving and disseminating public knowledge have a responsibility to operate through due process; in this case   ICANN’s clients and partners were not consulted adequately.

Thank you.

Regards,
Flagg
