Hi,

I wanted to voice a comment against the increase in price for .com registrations. .com and other TLD registration prices continue to rise despite the industry maturing into a stable situation where it ought to be able to sustain service at the same price. I would argue that it is monopolistic to raise prices in this way as long as Verisign is a for-profit company. The market and consumes would be better served by the TLD operator being a non-profit and letting natural competition occur at the Registrar level. As long as Verisign, and other TLD Operators, have no competition then any price increase should be viewed with skepticism.
