Many of us with a .com address are just barely holding on with existing prices. To see prices rise 8 out of the next ten years is untenable. Since this is something that hasn't changed in so long, none of us smalltime operators have a plan for dealing with this raise. If there is any way to mitigate this for smaller domains who can't afford it, that would be so important for the survival of small businesses, who are already threatened by the giants.
