I am opposed to the increase in price. In order to have a url, common sense dictates that you purchase the same url in all the categories - .com, .org,.net and ones with similar spelling. So it is easy for one website - commercial, charitable, educational - to have to have pay for 9 urls a year; at an average price of $38, that's $342. For a small/1-person or charitable organization, that can be steep.
