Please dont be profit minded, as it will impact lot of small businesses and individuals also.

What is the running expenses for maintaining the .com domain system. Is it being met by the current fees that is charged for the same.

If the current fees cant meet the running expenses, then look at adjusting the fees such that it can meet the running expenses.

Also add the cost for doing some amount of research and development for improving the system in responsible ways.

On top of it adjust for inflation and nothing more please.

Please look at this as a service for the good of all and not as a profit making activity.
