I will not claim to understand why the .com price increase is considered necessary. But I do know that a 7% annual increase is extreme. Most businesses consider anything exceeding a 3% increase per year for any service to be excessive. This will not be sustainable for many individuals and businesses. Further, this is not moral or equitable considering that the internet should be accessible to all, including the right to post content and create websites.
