The changes ICANN has announced around .com price increases and Verisign being allowed to operate a registrar are atrocious.

There are many individuals such as myself who run a few dozen domain names. Allowing the prices to go up 70% over 10 years will make many of these smaller sites have to shut down out of financial necessity.

This is another step towards the death of the distributed internet.
