I am one of the .COM domain holders and I strongly oppose the price hikes proposed by Verisign. I think no one except Verisign wants the increase in .COM prices.

The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Their cost is something in the order of under 25c a domain giving  close to a 100% profit.

Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price.

ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
