I do not support the proposed amendment.
There seems to be no particular benefit to end users like myself who run a small .com domain, and the only likely visible effect is an increase in prices. The price cap applies only until October 2026 and there appear to be no restrictions beyond that. It is also disheartening that at a time when prices for technology are consistently and constantly downwards, ICANN has reached a solution that involves increasing prices for end-users. ICANN is at the core of the Internet, which is ever-growing; there must surely be better ways of raising the revenue that ICANN needs without simply increasing prices for captive end-users who have no alternative.
