Hello,

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business).
I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains.
The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified.
No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices.

Verisign is a great company, but it is already making a huge profit margin (way above most other companies) while many domainers are struggling because of new gTlds. Domainers are the main .com registrants (Verisign customers) by far. Putting additional pressure on them would mean less .com registrations and renewals and turn against Verisign in the end. It is not because new gTlds registration and renewal prices are abusive that .com fees have to become abusive to. This goes against both domainers and public interest. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest and not in the interest of new gTlds registries.

Thanks and Best Regards,
