I am a registrant of several .com domain names and I am totally against the proposed price increase to .COM domains.
Only Verisign want increases in .COM prices and the current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified.
Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. I trust ICANN to
govern the domain name system in the public interest.
When I registered my first domain (
microseeds.com) back in the mid 90s, Verisign charged $75 to register a .COM domain for a two year period. I do NOT want to return to those days.
