I oppose the increase in .com price increases resulting from the contract change with Verisign. The cost increases will certainly be passed on to domain name owners, increasing costs for large and small businesses alike. These costs will be passed on to consumers.
The way the contract is structured assures that there will be increases annually for 8 of the next ten years. That is unacceptable, particularly in light of the fact that these changes were made in secret without input from the ICANN community or Internet users.
I urge you to reconsider the contract.
