I am the owner of many .com domains and I have heard about the proposal between ICANN and Verisign. Running a business is already expensive enough, and with tax increases to small business owners, knowing that owning my domains could potentially increase in cost by up to 70% is really distressing.
It seems that only ICANN and Verign’s benefit has been considered in this deal. Please reconsider how negatively this will impact those of us who depend on our .com domains.
