As a fellow citizen of the internet, it is very disappointing that the organization that is supposed to be regulating the addresses on the web is agreeing to allow essentially a landlord to raise their prices when we already have such limited namespaces available.
We have seen inflation of property prices and as one of the very few accessible and freedom centric spaces available in today's world, it is very sad to see the web soon end up overpriced and inaccessible to the general public once this level of freedom is granted to a private entity focused on profit.
We hope ICANN reconsiders its decision.
Thank you.
