Dear ICANN,
As a small business owner to say I shocked by the recent news that:

"ICANN, the organization that oversees domain names, announced significant changes to the contract it has with Verisign, Inc. who operate the .COM top-level-domain (TLD).
ICANN made these changes in secret, without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or Internet users. ... .COM domains make up 40% of all registered domain names online."

I disagree with this decision and think it is an unethical business practice.

I understand as a business owner we need to make a profit to stay in business and provide a service, yet when it is done on a global scale as this one, impacts thousands of businesses, and appears to create a monopoly with Verisign, Inc it raises concerns.

I am asking that you reverse this decision, so you can actually continue to serve more people (i.e. businesses) vs fewer.

Thank you,
Nicole Burgess LMFT
