I strongly oppose Amendment 3 to the .COM registry agreement as it would harm the democratization of communication on a global medium that is already sensitive to differences in accessibility by the same.

 

Domain registration is a very important part of gaining access to a the publishing mechanism of the world wide web, and increasing the cost of entry dramatically and over too short a period serves as a barrier to entry for many.

 

Please reconsider this change, as it would be damaging and harmful.
