My name is Ahmed Dedeche. I am a registrant of a .COM domain name (Dedeche.com).

I use it for my small business and for access to my server.

I am extremely against the proposed price increase to .COM domains; as the increase would be passed to us, the customers, and the current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified.

Although ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest, I believe this amendment is solely in the interest of Verisign; as they are the only ones that want to increase the .COM domain prices! Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it should not have the authority in dictating the prices.
