What is the justification for an increase of this magnitude?  The costs for operating a domain registrar have gone DOWN, so there IS no justification other than greed.  The secret closed door manner in which this was negotiated is another indication of how underhanded it is.  This proposed amendment should be soundly rejected.  The chilling effects this will have on non-commercial site operators will compound year after year, making it increasingly difficult to have a voice in a growing corporate online landscape.
