I'm writing to discourage adopting Amendment 3. The ability to register tlds at a reasonable price is essential for keeping the internet a level playing field. If the dot com tld eventually becomes prohibitively expensive for individuals, we will witness even more corporate consolidation of power.

Further, the amendment was drawn up without input from registrars. While the deal with Verisign might seem lucrative for your organization, it would ultimately be detrimental for the internet at large.
