I think given that the internet is widely used by a majority of people across the planet, it is ludicrous to only make this decision based on input from ICANN and Verisign, especially since ICANN is receiving a kickback for the price increase. Please at a minimum allow comment from domain registrars and the industry as a whole before making a decision that will affect everyone from Domain Registrars to small business owners.
