I feel that ICANN has not used an open process to adopt this amendment. I am suspicious that the additional money to be paid to ICANN by Verisign is intended for uses that are not clearly identified. I fear that costs will increase inordinately for small operations like mine to keep a .COM domain name registered, and that there will be no recognizable benefit to me or to the broad, global Internet community.
