I do not support the proposed price increases for .com registrations. My understanding of the role and function of both Verisign and ICANN suggest that the proposed price increases are nothing more than a means to extract more profit from the community. That is, there has not been a clear demonstration that the proposed increases are in-line with any known or expected increases in costs. Perhaps the roles of Verisign and ICANN should be folded into the government instead. Please do not proceed with your proposed increases. It will hurt small businesses and individuals the most.
