The internet is supposed to be an accessible place where people can have an equal voice. Raising the prices on domains creates a barrier of accessibility that ruins the spirit of the freedom of the internet. It should be as easy and financially accessible for my dad to start a website as it is for Google to. Raising the costs this much sets a dangerous standard/precedent.
