I own, and have owned many different .com domain names. Considering these domain names are the first step introducing new business and innovations, it's important (for the sake of basic economic growth) that they are as accessible and affordable as possible. I strongly appose this rent-seeking behavior of increasing the prices of .com domain registrations. Allowing Verisign to arbitrarily increase a price of .com domains introduces a monopolistic precedent for foundational internet technologies like DNS. It should be stopped at all costs.
